Fashion Workieeee

Sorry I've been a bit quiet recently but works been taking up all my time!! So I thought I'd give you a little more of an insight into what I do.

As mentioned before in my blog I'm a Junior Merchandiser for Lauren Richards Ltd. As I've been there a few months now I'm getting more and more responsibilities for example I am now in charge of three accounts (Miss Selfridge, Tu Kids and George Men’s). Which basically means I monitor the process when the customer has chosen one of our designs until when it reaches the customers warehouse ready to go into store. In the past few weeks we’ve sold around 20,000 pieces across my accounts alone, so it has been pretty busy up in our MK office!! However now I’m just waiting on all the samples to come in from our factories in Hong Kong and China so I went down to our show rooms to help the design team set up for a very important meeting ready for first thing Monday morning.

(Above is the archive of scarves..... SOOOO many scarves)

There is a lot riding on this meeting, it determines whether or not we break into the USA…  Taking Lauren Richards international!! And been as we basically already cover most high street stores in the UK it only seems natural for that to be the company’s next move.

(Above is a sneak peak into our showroom)

Anyway we did eventually finish it this afternoon, so fingers crossed our Sales team pulls it out the bag Monday morning!!

That’s all for now

Work work work

Hi lovelies!

Not sure if any of you saw/ remember but a while back (August 4th to be exact) I wrote a blog post about the trials and tribulations of job hunting and gave some tips. Well the interview I was prepping for the day I wrote that I got!!! That's right you are now looking at the Junior Merchandiser at Lauren Richards :) :) :)

Basically Lauren Richards is an accessory design house that supplies to a few of the major highstreet stores such as Miss Selfridge, Next and New Look to name a few! I'm absolutely loving working there, I feel very grown up and professional! Bascially my role is to make sure everything is organised and cooridinate with the design team, the sales team, the factories and the companies to make sure everything runs smoothly! Just the other day I was up at George at Asda's Head Office discussing the designs for Autumn winter '16 which was pretty exciting!!!

So yeah this is just a quick post to show a one of the outfits I strutted round the office in and to encourage you all to perservere with the job hunt, becasue even if it looks bleak right now something will come along eventually! And follow my top tips from my other post, it worked for me hahah

70's Vibes

Hi chickas,

Firstly I am incredibly jealous of everyone at Paris Fashion Week, I have literally streamed all of the shows!!! Anyway in an attempt to cheer myself up about the fact I wasn't waltzing down the Chans De Lise I decided to get out the house and take a few snaps for my blog!

I'm loving all the 70's vibes that are around at the minute! I can't wait to get some flares definitely up there on my wishlist!! But in the meantime I'm loving this Next Burberry print mini skirt!! Also at the minute the weather is just about still mild enough to only wear my knee highs (which by the way are literally becoming my staple boots for AW15)

Quick note the necklace I'm wearing I bought on Depop (my depop: @frankie657) off @hanarut and it was hand made to measure, so cute! I chose the length and the colour of the stone, and I'm so happy with how it turned out!! So go check them out and drop me a mention ;)

Also when it got a little chilly outside it looked equally as cute with this cheap and cheerful grey jumper from the one and only primarni!!

Let me know what you think,

Their Nibs - Summer Internship

Over the summer I embarked on a months internship with Their Nibs, a high end vintage children's fashion brand. During my time there I worked closely with the marketing director and the Online Visuals team to create a variety of moodboards to advertise their new pyjama range, here is a few of my mock up boards:

Furthermore while I was there representatives from Prince George came down to the office to enquire about outfits for Prince George himself for his 1st birthday photo shoot!! Which was a great opportunity for me, because even though I'd only been there a week or so at this point I still got to suggest a few items!! Which I thought was pretty cool!

I was also in charge of creating a marketing plan for the pop-up shop they were setting up in the Westfield in Shepard's Bush:

So all in all I had a really enjoyable time working with Their Nibs and would definitely recommend interning to anyone considering venturing into the fashion world! It was great to get thrown in with so much responsibility, it felt good to think I was highly trusted by professionals.
